After the Walk

The steaks were so good, we came back on the second night

Our meagre and inexpensive lodgings enabled us to afford a steak in the restaurant both nights.

Approaching Melbourne the next morning. Note the reddish tinge on the water caused by the unusual sunrise

Passing south of the Grampians, the smoke was quite heavy at times (but not so evident in this photo). Here you can see Mt Abrupt dimly through the haze.

We called in at Rick's place near Penola on the way back, and stayed the night. He proved to be a marvellous host! A fitting end to a very enjoyable trip.
